En el presente artículo se argumenta acerca del porqué la investigación debe ser asumida como un trabajo de investigación que indaga los modos instituidos de pensar de los miembros de la institución a la vez que los propios del investigador. Así, se afirma que la intervención institucional es una investigación-acción que produce conocimiento, no sólo acerca de los imaginarios compartidos por los actores institucionales, sino además, acerca de los propios imaginarios, acerca del “cómo [los investigadores] entendemos esas instituciones, cómo entendemos nuestras popias instituciones puestas en acto ahí, quiénes somos en ese contexto. Aprendemos de ese hacer. Además de que aprendemos a hacer”; además se destaca que cada intervención es un aprendizaje de qué es la psicología institucional.

This paper argues why intervention must be accepted as research work that investigates the instituted ways of thinking of the members of an organization as well as those of the researcher’s. Thus the paper states that institutional intervention is a research-action that yields knowledge, not just about the imageries shared by institutional players, but also about their own imageries, about “how (researchers) understand those institutions, how we understand our own institutions brought into play there, who we are in that context. We learn from those endeavors, in addition to learning to do”; it also highlights that each intervention is a learning experience about what is institutional psychology.
